Acclimation -
In humans, acclimation typically involves the body’s response to physical stressors like extreme temperatures or high altitudes.
(often used interchangeably with acclimatization ) is the reversible process by which an individual organism adjusts to a change in its environment. Unlike adaptation , which involves heritable genetic changes in a population over generations, acclimation occurs within the lifetime of a single organism and is generally temporary.
