They worked in rhythmic silence. Leo laid the bubble wrap with the precision of a surgeon, securing it with clear tape that was nearly invisible in the fading light. Meanwhile, Sam was busy transforming the grey concrete into a kaleidoscope of neon pink and electric blue circles.

The sun was just beginning to dip behind the old oak trees of Miller’s Lane when Leo and Sam met behind the abandoned hardware store. To the rest of the neighborhood, they were just two fourteen-year-olds with oversized hoodies and scuffed sneakers. To the local shopkeepers, however, they were the "Miller’s Lane Menace."

The "naughty" teens stayed hidden, eyes wide. They had set out to annoy, but they had accidentally triggered a moment of genuine joy.
