A container-based approach to boot a full Android system on regular GNU/Linux systems running Wayland based desktop environments.
The consists of two of the most influential street racing games ever released, which shifted the franchise toward car culture and deep customization. Because these games are over 20 years old, they are often considered "abandonware" by fans, as they are no longer sold on modern digital storefronts like Steam or EA App. Core Content of the Duology Need for Speed: Underground (2003) :
32 MB DirectX 8.1 compatible card (e.g., GeForce2 or Radeon 7500+). Finding the Games Today
Since the games are not available for purchase digitally, many players turn to community-maintained archives.
To play on modern Windows 10 or 11 systems, it is highly recommended to use the "Widescreen Fix" by ThirteenAG and high-definition texture packs found on sites like NFSMods .
Waydroid brings all the apps you love, right to your desktop, working side by side your Linux applications.
The Android inside the container has direct access to needed hardwares.
The Android runtime environment ships with a minimal customized Android system image based on LineageOS. The used image is currently based on Android 13
