Railroad May 2026

Look for blue Emergency Notification System signs at crossings. These provide a toll-free number and unique crossing ID to report issues, such as a vehicle stuck on the tracks, directly to the railroad company.

Trains can run on any track, at any time, in either direction.

Railroad tracks are private property, and trespassing—including taking photos—is illegal and dangerous.

Always stop at least 15 feet from the nearest track when lights flash, gates lower, or a train is approaching.
